Youth Snowmobile Safety Training  The class this year it was December 7, 8, 11, 12 2009 with pre-registration on November 28th.

Snowmobile Safety Training will be held at the trail shed (Click here for directions).  You must attend all sessions of the class and pass both tests in order to get your certificate.  Please consider what is more important, learning a lifelong recreation or another event that is only short term.  It's all a part of life planning and making knowledgeable decisions.  Registration is from 5:30 to 6 on the first day and the class times for the remaining weekdays are from 6 to 8 PM.

On the last Saturday, the class times will be from 8 AM to 12 PM as this is the written and driving test date.  Come with snowmobile clothing and gear for taking the test as well.  Snowmobiles will be provided.

A parent must be with the attendee at time of registration to ensure the paperwork is filled out correctly, since snowmobile training is an endorsement on drivers licenses now.  Class size is limited to 40 (Please contact us if you would like to join the club and get the training to be an instructor).

Please contact Diane and Joe Dwenger at 763-856-6213 to pre-register for a spot in the class.

Note that you must have a safety training endorsement if you were born after December 31, 1976.

Without active volunteer club members, there will be few trails.  Thank the volunteers who help provide this training.

If the class is full, check out the DNR or MNUSA site or better yet, join a club and take the training to be a certified instructor.

Club Ride to be listed here once we get into the season.  Generally every two weeks alternating between Saturday and Sunday and leaving from the shed at 9 AM.

MnUSA Summer Campout:  Second full weekend of July.  This event will be located at a location to be determined by the region whose turn it is to host this event.  Usually clubs assist in this event since it is more than most region directors can do by themselves.  More information can be found on the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association web site.

Summer Outing  Our summer outing for the past few years has been the third weekend of August.  Watch here for more details as we get closer.

Club Fund Raiser:  Date(s) be determined.  In the past few years we have worked at McDonald Meats for our fund raiser.  Come see us and purchase some great Pork Chops and Brats at McDonald's Meats in Clear Lake.

MnUSA Fall Workshop:  Last full weekend of October.  This event will be located at a location to be determined by the region whose turn it is to host this event.  Usually clubs assist in this event since it is more than most region directors can do by themselves.  More information can be found on the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association web site.  Learn about what is happening at the state and national level plus much more information that is useful for all with an interest in their trails.

Trails Open:  Trails open on or after December 1st when there is sufficient snow (6"+) to operate snowmobiles safely and without damage to trails.

Christmas Party  We hold a yearly Christmas party at a location to be determined.  More information will be provided here when it is available.

MnUSA Winter Rendezvous and Governors Ride:  Second full weekend of February.  This event will be located at a location to be determined by the site selection committee and hosted by the Region or Local Clubs.  More information can be found on the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association web site.

Snowmobile Awareness Day  This event started in 1997 after the county had way too many accidents and the club decided that we needed to use another method of informing snowmobilers of ways they can ride safer.  The event continued yearly for many years at the start of International Snowmobile Safety week until we couldn't get enough volunteers to continue.  Planning needs to start in the November time frame if the organizers are to have enough time to invite guests, inform the news media, and prepare the materials for the event.
